INAUGURATION OF THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2026 AND NSS UNIT REPORT

On July 22nd, 2024, Mahajubilee Training College, Mulloorkara, organized the inauguration the new academic year (2024-2026) and the NSS unit SF 045. The programme commenced at 10 am with a soulful prayer led by Ms. Soumya E., Assistant Professor in Mathematics, followed by readings from the Holy Scriptures by faculty members and an invocation session conducted by Sr. Christeena P. George, a B.Ed. student.

Rev. Dr. Chacko Chiramel, Principal of MJTC, welcomed the gathering and emphasized the significance of the new academic year and the role of education in shaping future leaders.He also emphasized the importance of NSS and its significance.

Ms. Girija Meledath, President of Mulloorkara Grama Panchayath, delivered a presidential address highlighting the collaboration between the college and the local community.

The lighting of the lamp ceremony, led by the chief guests, symbolized the beginning of the academic journey and NSS Unit. Ms. Sujina M.S., Assistant Professor in Physical Science, led the pledge to instill a sense of responsibility among students.

Msgr. Jose Konikkara, Manager of MJTC, inaugurated the new academic year 2024-26 with an inaugural address and followed library bulletin release. He stressed the importance of teacher education, professionalism, and MJTC's culture and practices in his inaugural address.

Dr. Anzer R.N., State NSS Officer of Kerala, delivered an inaugural address focusing on social service, community involvement, and the role of NSS in teacher education. He inaugurated the NSS unit by unveiling the NSS logo followed by NSS Song.

The event concluded with a warm felicitation by Rev. Dr. Shiju Chittilappilly, Assistant Manager of MJTC, who promised support and best wishes for NSS and students. Later all teaching and non-teaching members introduced themselves to the students.

Ms. Nidhika A.R., Assistant Professor in English, the newly appointed NSS Programme Officer, proposed the vote of thanks. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem, fostering unity and pride among attendees.

This inauguration marked the beginning of a new academic session and reinforced the college's commitment to fostering community and social responsibility among students through NSS.
